The Choice is Clear: A Handbook for Teachers on Social Emotional Learning

With students facing situations that may have a negative impact on their lives including bullying, substance abuse and dropping out of school, it is crucial for educators and the school community to make an effort to implement SEL in the schools on a daily basis. Students need a place where they can feel safe, accepted and a part of a community. Teachers, who create such an environment through SEL, produce students who are aware of their social and emotional skills and prepares them for the future. The Choice is Clear: A Handbook for Teachers on Social Emotional Learning, seeks to provide teachers and all school personnel with an opportunity to gain knowledge and seek additional training on social emotional learning to ensure all students are socially and emotional competent and ready for college and future careers.
