Egoism and the Post-Anarchic: Max Stirner's New Individualism

Max Stirner's 19th century philosophy can be re-evaluated in the context of a contemporary union of anarchism and French post-structuralism. This union, known as post-anarchism, offers a new critical context in which Stirner can be read. I have argued that his critique of representation and his anti-determinism are particulars for a new individualism that emerges specifically within post-anarchic anxieties.
